SCRIPTURE BACKGROUND:

Matthew 25:35-40 (NIV)

³⁵For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, ³⁶I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ ³⁷Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?³⁸And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? ³⁹And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’⁴⁰And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers,^[^a^] you did it to me.’

MISSION:

The Quest Food & Clothing Ministry of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church is a caring and loving ministry that passionately gives free new and/or gently-used clothing, shoes, outerwear, basic toiletries, and food to those in need, whether they be low-income, seniors, homeless, or recovering from a disaster or crisis in a safe, friendly, non-judgmental environment, helping them feel empowered, confident, productive and relieved emotionally and financially.

ELIGIBILITY:

Individuals and families are eligible to receive assistance from the Quest Food Pantry and Clothing Closet. However, priority is given to low-income, homeless, seniors, and those recovering from a disaster or crisis. Referrals for help are accepted and will be handled confidentially.
